Our workforce of women and men are committed to serving the downtown area and suburbs of Macon. Officers on the police force, committed servicemen and women of the fire department, and our rapid emergency response team prepare and train to address needs of the community.

Here in Macon, public safety doesn’t stop at our law enforcement. We are home to integrated and active community review boards and programs. Our Pedestrian Safety Review Board creates initiatives, education campaigns and more to help protect and ensure the safety of pedestrians. Additionally, the Macon Violence Prevention Initiative strives to reduce crime by uniting community and government organizations and providing funding for data-driven solutions to serve our community.
