Currently Innovating
The goal of the Middle Georgia Innovation Corridor is to one day label the Middle Georgia region as a “Software Center of Excellence.” Leveraging the region’s top-tier education, workforce, research, and strong ties to Robins Airforce Base, dynamic technologies and robust ideas are more evident than ever. For example, Blue Sky Software Development Innovation Lab brings together the great minds of software engineers at Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex and computer science specialists from Mercer University to create new developments in extreme programming and lean production development. Furthermore, organizations like Macon Black Tech, a technology-focused space where Macon residents can safely collaborate and create, are encouraging networking opportunities and outreach in the tech community.

Macon, Georgia is home to some of the best private, public, and technical schools in the region. The Charles H. Jones Advanced Technology Center at CGTC’s Macon campus is pushing the envelope daily with access to state-of-the-art industrial and manufacturing labs. The center offers both young and experienced minds the ability to broaden their skill sets and the potential to become leaders in their fields. CGTC also offers a vast range of IT certificates in areas such as Amazon Web Services Cloud Solutions, cybersecurity, and website design and development.
